Product Owner – Insurance (Berlin, on site)

Our AI-driven B2C insurance flow is already live, and we are now integrating it directly with an established insurance platform partner in Berlin to overhaul paper-heavy operations. We need a product leader on the ground who can sit directly with partner stakeholders, make in-house product calls without corporate red tape, and prototype solutions using AI agents.

You will own the end-to-end integration and delivery of our AI insurance product area with our strategic Berlin partner.

• Run on-site discovery workshops with the partner's business and tech teams to negotiate scope and trade-offs.
• Translate complex insurance processes into clear product specifications and actionable tasks for engineers and AI agents.
• Prototype and validate features hands-on using Claude Code before handing off or shipping.
• Prioritise parallel workstreams ruthlessly to maintain high-velocity, same-day delivery cycles.
• Test and verify every release against core business outcomes before signing off.

• 1-2+ years in insurance, fintech, or another highly regulated domain.
• 5+ years driving product ownership and hands-on delivery management.
• Proven track record building or prototyping directly with Claude Code or modern AI tools.
• Startup background with experience operating outside slow corporate approval cycles.
• Native or C1 German language proficiency paired with fluent English.
• Strong technical foundation, ideally with a Computer Science degree or engineering background.

Operates like a startup on steroids with high-velocity, same-day shipping rather than slow sprint cycles. Characterized by autonomous in-house decision-making without corporate loops, minimal meetings (daily standup sync and on-demand touchpoints), heavy use of cutting-edge AI tooling (like Claude Code, Mastra, TypeScript), and rapid learning across a small, opinionated team backed by a large corporate insurer.

• Key ownership seat bridging an innovative AI product and a strategic platform partner.
• Startup velocity and complete local autonomy paired with stable corporate backing.
• Daily exposure to cutting-edge AI engineering stacks including Claude Code, Mastra, and end-to-end TypeScript.
• High-trust environment with minimal meetings, zero bureaucracy, and flexible engagement models (permanent, B2B, or freelance).
