Managing Director (MD) - Marketplace & Distribution Tech Solutions

As a prominent publicly listed travel technology player based in Berlin, we need an executive who can drive fast, scalable operational delivery across our core B2B2C marketplace brands. Reporting directly to the Group CTO, this role gives you an active seat at the leadership table to deploy modern AI tooling and synchronize engineering with commercial strategy.

Full P&L and operational leadership across the Marketplace & Distribution business unit.

• Drive end-to-end operational delivery across marketplace brands with an obsessive focus on speed, scale, and platform reliability.
• Lead, scale, and mentor senior functional directors and heads across Engineering, Product, and Commercial Operations.
• Align technical and product roadmaps with evolving commercial requirements and real-time customer demand.
• Integrate modern AI tooling and advanced technology solutions directly into operational workflows.
• Establish robust OKR-driven execution cycles that balance disciplined goal-setting with agile, hands-on delivery.

• Proven executive leader with full P&L ownership across ~50-100+ person organizations.
• Deep expertise leading operations within high-transactional B2B2C, marketplace, or travel tech environments.
• Tech-fluent operator with a track record translating commercial goals into engineering roadmaps.
• Experienced operating within public tech companies and managing complex matrix structures.
• Pragmatic leader biased toward rapid action and leveraging modern AI tooling.
