Energy Portfolio Manager

As we scale our customer base, managing balancing groups, regulatory compliance, and market operations manually is not an option. We need an expert who can turn complex German market mechanisms into seamless, automated operational procedures. Without this role, our ability to scale reliably and integrate next-generation software tooling hits a ceiling.

Complete operational ownership of our energy portfolio mechanics, market compliance, and automation workflows.

• Develop and maintain end-to-end operational workflows across forecasting, procurement, nomination, balancing group management, metering, billing, and settlement.
• Translate German energy regulations and market communication standards (MaKo, Redispatch 2.0, §14a EnWG, DSO/TSO standards) into robust operational processes and software specifications.
• Partner directly with engineering, product, and AI teams to embed operational logic into automated system designs.
• Define critical operational data requirements across master, meter, and settlement data streams.
• Resolve operational incidents, failed market communications, and settlement discrepancies while establishing resilient fallback procedures.

• Hands-on portfolio manager with deep experience in the German energy market.
• Solid practical understanding of energy procurement, forecasting, and power market mechanics.
• Expert in German energy regulations, including MaKo, Redispatch 2.0, and §14a EnWG.
• Proven track record running balancing group management, nomination, and settlement.
• Tech-savvy with an affinity for coding or vibe coding to accelerate workflows (nice-to-have, not required).
• Fluent in German and English, navigating market communications and technical specs seamlessly.
• Highly accountable operator who thrives on end-to-end ownership and proactive problem-solving.
