Senior Growth Analyst - Spark
Every single click, subscription renewal, and ad impression for Spark tells a story about how users interact with their email. We are looking for a Senior Growth Analyst in Berlin who will sit at the absolute intersection of product and marketing to own the data loops that drive our global growth.
Overview
Why this role matters
Spark is scaling fast, and we need to move from tracking data to aggressively predicting and validating what drives growth. Without this role, our product and marketing teams cannot rapidly iterate, run quasi-experiments, or build the deep causal inference models needed to unlock our next stage of subscription revenue. You will be the critical engine that turns raw user touchpoints into strategic, high-impact product decisions.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
You will own the entire growth loop analytics for Spark, ensuring every stage from first ad impression to long-term subscription renewal is fully measurable.
- Design robust event tracking structures and instrumentation to ensure flawless measurement across the entire user journey.
- Build and maintain growth dashboards in Tableau or Looker that make acquisition and retention performance crystal clear for cross-functional teams.
- Uncover growth opportunities by digging deep into funnels, user cohorts, and subscription metrics like churn and LTV.
- Design and execute A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and causal inference models to validate marketing and product hypotheses.
- Deploy advanced forecasting models using Python or R to predict long-term subscription dynamics and trend lines.
The first 90 days
What success looks like
Month 1
You will deeply integrate with the Spark product and marketing teams, audit our current data pipelines in BigQuery and tracking setups in Amplitude and AppsFlyer, and identify immediate tracking improvements.
Month 2–3
You will take full ownership of our growth dashboards, design and launch your first batch of A/B tests and quasi-experiments, and establish a standardized methodology for measuring marketing attribution.
By end of Q1
You will have built a reliable, end-to-end subscription analytics framework that clearly connects first-click marketing attribution to long-term cohort retention, enabling swift, data-backed product decisions.
Candidate profile
Who this is a fit for
- Have 5+ years of analytics experience in B2C mobile apps or subscription SaaS.
- Expert-level SQL wizard with hands-on experience in cloud data warehouses like BigQuery.
- Fluent in visualization and product analytics tools like Tableau, Looker, and Amplitude.
- Experienced with mobile marketing attribution mechanics using platforms like AppsFlyer or Adjust.
- Proficient in Python or R for time-series forecasting and causal inference.
- Thrive on high autonomy, taking full personal responsibility for product outcomes.
Culture
What it's like to work here
The company's culture is rooted in deep customer-centricity and continuous professional growth, with a massive emphasis on individual autonomy and ownership. Team members are expected to drive their own initiatives and take full responsibility for product outcomes. Decision-making is highly collaborative yet swift, heavily guided by data analysis, rapid iteration, and continuous experimentation to validate product hypotheses. This role sits at the intersection of product and marketing, demanding a proactive builder who thrives on fast feedback loops and constant adaptation.
